Waterlooplein Market Amsterdam

Waterlooplein is Amsterdam’s oldest and most famous daily flea market, running since 1882 in the heart of the former Jewish Quarter. Open Monday to Saturday 9:30am to 5pm, the stalls sell everything from secondhand clothes and vinyl records to bicycle parts and vintage cameras.

The market sits next to the Stopera (city hall and opera house complex) and the Joods Historisch Museum is a 2-minute walk away. The quality of goods varies wildly — genuine vintage finds sit next to obvious junk. Haggling is expected on most items.

Metro: Waterlooplein station (directly adjacent). It is a 10-minute walk east from Dam Square.
