The Noordermarkt is a Monday morning flea market and Saturday organic farmers market on a pretty square in the Jordaan. The Monday flea market (9am-1pm) sells vintage clothes, antiques, books, and random household goods. The Saturday farmers market (9am-4pm) is one of the best in Amsterdam — organic produce, artisan bread, Dutch cheese, olives, and fresh juices.
The square sits in front of the Noorderkerk, a 17th-century church. The surrounding streets are lined with independent shops and cafes. Winkel 43 on the corner of the square makes what many people consider the best apple pie in Amsterdam. Get there before 11am on Saturday or the queue wraps around the block.
Getting there: Prinsengracht/Westerstraat area in the Jordaan. Bus 18, 21, 22 or a 15-minute walk from Centraal.
